The Hidden Dangers of Neglecting Home Watch Services

Key in Door Protecting from Buglary

Home Security Risks

Faithful Home Watch provides property owners with comfort.... knowing that your house is safe and secure while you are away. We will visit your home and observe that everything is in order. These services include checking for signs of forced entry or vandalism, ensuring that doors and windows are locked, and your property does not appear vacant.

Ants in House

Pest Infestation

Mosquitoes, ants, cockroaches, silverfish, mice, palm rats, beetles or termites, Florida is a haven for all kinds of pests! Many pests thrive in an environment where they are undisturbed by humans. For example, a house that is unused for an extended period. Faithful Home Watch looks for signs of exterior pest infestation close to the house, and possible pest problems inside the home.

Hurricane Ian Damage

Storm Damage

Southwest Florida has experienced numerous named hurricanes and tropical storms which have caused billions of dollars of damage to private property. As part of our services at Faithful Home Watch, we offer pre-storm preparation, post-storm assessments, and other remediation services as needed. We understand what it feels like to be far away during a storm. You can trust Faithful Home Watch to care for your home before and after a storm occurs.

Hurricane Ian Damage

Insurance Risks

Many homeowners insurance policies have a clause in them that requires an unoccupied or vacant home to be checked on within a specified number of days. The clause can be vague by design. Many Florida policies have a Water Damage 14-Day Exclusion. Which means if the water damage occurs in your unoccupied home and it was discovered to have occurred more than 14 days prior, then the claim would be denied. It could have occurred from wind driven rain, a leaking water heater, or even a clogged A/C drain-line.

Flood Water in House

Water & Plumbing Damage

It can be a roof leak, burst pipes, aging water heaters, a leaky ice-maker supply line, AC units that leak, and more. Water issues happen all the time. Imagine if any of the damage mentioned above goes on for days, weeks, or months! Not only do homeowners endure the pain of the insurance claim that may not cover the loss, but the loss of furnishings and  losing a season or two of enjoying your Florida home. Faithful Home Watch is a vital and essential service.

Mold on Wall

Mold Growth

Air conditioners do two things; they cool your home and they break! Your AC draws several gallons of moisture from the air every day, and in Florida, the system operates all year round. Frequent storms and power surges take a toll on our AC units. Mold can start to grow in a few days when there is excessive humidity. Faithful Home Watch will use tools to monitor the temperature and humidity inside your home.
